NEWPORT, R.I. — A newlywed couple was wed at a wedding reception in Newport, Rhode Island.
The couple, who have not been identified, were spotted at the venue with a bouquet of white roses on the ground by a friend, who reported the incident to authorities.
According to a Newport Police Department statement, the couple, identified as Kevin and Jessica Tomsheen, were married at the reception on Tuesday night.
The couple is not listed on the wedding registry, nor is the wedding day listed on their social media profiles.
Jessica Tomsheaen said in a Facebook post that they were thrilled to be married in such a beautiful setting, and that the wedding was “beautiful” for both of them.
“It was a really big deal to have my husband married in a venue with so many amazing people, the people that are there and the reception staff that did a great job and really made it so special,” she said.
Jessica and Kevin Tomsheeen said they planned to be apart for several years, and planned to have their first child.
They are expecting their first grandchild, and said they were excited to have a second child.
The bride, identified by police as Jessica Tomesheaen, said in an interview with CNN that she and Kevin planned to take a trip to New Zealand for a holiday soon.
The wedding venue was located on a property owned by a company that has been renting space for weddings, according to Newport Police.
The police department said the couple’s home was not immediately available for comment.
