This year, Dunn wedding designer Kate Dunn will be bringing her unique wedding style and inspiration to her wedding day.
With an emphasis on contemporary style, Dunn is set to make her way through her design studio in the beautiful Brisbane suburb of Wollongong, as well as her own boutique, which is currently in the works.
Ms Dunn will share her ideas with a wider audience through a variety of different channels including Instagram and Facebook, including a social media campaign, a newsletter and more.
“I think it’s a beautiful moment for the whole industry because of the opportunity for designers to connect with people and build community,” Ms Dunn said.
“This will allow designers to reach a wider crowd and allow them to reach people who may not otherwise be able to get in touch.”
Ms Dunn said she had wanted to create a style of her own for some time, and that her inspiration for the new design was drawn from her own life experiences.
“For me, being a single parent was the perfect way to show how we’re all unique and how it can be beautiful,” she said.
Dunn’s new style is an homage to the traditional wedding dress, but also incorporates modern trends and fashion trends from around the world.
“I’ve been inspired by so many different styles from around our world and this is the one that suits my style,” Ms Dalton said.
“It’s a little bit of a homage to my own life and also how my parents came from a long way away and that’s why I wanted to incorporate some of that in there.”
It’s very traditional, it’s very practical, it is very timeless and it’s an interesting way of making a dress that is still very contemporary.
“Dunn has created her own designs in the past, but her most recent one is a simple wedding dress with simple silhouettes, which was created in her home studio.
The wedding is expected to take place in the next couple of weeks, and the designer is currently finalising the design for the venue.
